David is an accredited and registered psychotherapist with a special interest in addiction and compulsive sexual behaviours (CSB). He is a speaker and educator on the subject and works both in private practice and as a clinical associate for a leading sex and porn addiction clinic, supporting individuals and couples affected by CSB and the relational impact of betrayal.
He is also the founder of Therappy, a specialist addiction therapy platform created to improve access to educational material, as well as to experienced therapists. Through this work, he has developed a strong interest in how specialist services can be made more visible, clinically robust and trusted.
Prior to entering the psychotherapy profession, David spent almost 20 years in financial services and digital transformation, holding leadership positions across banking and investment management. He has led large cross-functional teams, shaped strategy, delivered major UK change programmes and worked closely with senior stakeholders within complex and regulated environments. This experience gives him a strong appreciation of organisational strategy, working collaboratively, service design, governance and risk, accountability, and the importance of working within clear ethical guardrails.
As a trustee, David hopes to contribute both his clinical experience and his wider background in leadership, digital innovation, marketing and governance. He is keen to support ATSAC in strengthening its visibility, broadening access to specialist support, developing resources for professionals and the public, and continuing to champion thoughtful, inclusive and evidence-informed practice.
